On 12th December 2018 in Thessaloniki, the United Societies of Balkans and the volunteers of Balkan Hotspot announced the award winners of the #HearMeToo: End Violence Against Women and Girls contest and exhibition! Among the others, the project React-Act-Prevent Sexual Violence Through Youth Work was presented through art pieces created for the #Speak4NO campaign.
On the International Volunteer Day, on 5th December 2018, the United Societies of Balkans and other organizations were at Agias Sofias Square to promote volunteerism and the active citizenship. The project React-Act-Prevent Sexual Violence Through Youth Work was promoted and the visitors were encouraged to participate at the challenges #Speak4NO and #TapeItChallenge.
On 2nd December 2018, Stowarzyszenie Promocji Zdrowia i Profilaktyki HOPP, participated at the Social Street Public Action, entitled “Laundry”, which tool place at the Opole Market during the Christmas market. The event was organized by the Manufaktura of Various Initiatives.
The volunteers had the opportunity to join these activities through the ability to articulate anti-violent slogans through the loudspeaker. Inspired by the actions of activists from Manufaktura, and hanged the slogan “ReactActPreventSexualViolence” on the public „laundry”.
The action was promoted and disseminated through the most famousPolish„ Wyborcza” newspaper. Link to the Article (polish language).
